- Hong Kong has a population of almost 7.1 million people according to the 2011 census. Dallas has a population (within the city limits) of almost 1.2 million people according to the 2010 census.
- The population density in Hong Kong is 6,300 people per km2 versus the population density in Dallas is 1,340 people per km2.
- The population in Hong Kong is 94% Chinese, 2% Filipino, 2% Indonesian, and 2% everybody else. The population in Dallas is 50% White, 25% Black or African American, 25%, Asian 3% and Hispanic 42%. (Yes, I know that this doesn’t add up to 100. See http://www.census.gov)
